Carol, I only have one Elizabeth Cantrell that MIGHT be in the right time range. I do lots of research on my Bartley family, and in fact, have a Bartley website that I can't work on any was built in Netscape's editor, which is now history. Anyhow, back to the Elizabeth Cantrell in my database.....she was born about 1889, and had brothers Walden "Wall", Jefferson "Jeff" and Burdine. I haven't yet made it to researching other siblings, any spouses or children. Anyhow, this particular Elizabeth Cantrell was a daughter of Albert Cantrell and Sylvia Hylton. Sylvia Hylton was a daughter of John W. Hylton and Martha Jane Bartley. Albert Cantrell was a son of Isaac Cantrell and Artie M. UNKNOWN (at least unknown to me). Martha Jane Bartley was a daughter of Pleasant Bartley and Nancy Leslie. Pleasant Bartley's parents were Isaac Bartley and Tabitha.

Now whether or not this particular Elizabeth Cantrell is YOUR great-grandmother is an entirely different problem. I have located and saved tons of Bartley information, which I've yet to find time to enter into my computer programs. However, if you read through all of this and see a familiar name, let me know and I'll dig some more.

I also have Crabtree cousins who were born and raised in Clintwood --- They're on my mom's side of the family, and through the Fleming line.
