I believe I am related to that first wife you are looking for. I had Elihue as Eli Hugh Compton, but I am starting to believe that is wrong. on the website transcription of the Davis cemetery, my ancestress is listed as "Compton, Oma Newberry
Wife of Elyhue Compton: May 15, 1849- Aug. 15, 1882" Her sister and mother are also buried in this same cemtery. Her father's identity is still largely a mystery. How are you related to this family? Oma Newberry Compton is my gggaunt.
