Hi again, Faye. Right now, am not going to get into a reply re the Browns, since my information is voluminous on various Browns I've found from the coast of Virginia to the mountains of WV. I do recall seeing references to Clement, but, because of the sheer volume of Browns and not having heard any reference to a Clement Brown in what little bit of info I've been able to glean about the Browns on my paternal side (got them on the maternal side, too), I didn't think I had anything on him. Just checked my database and I don't. Will look into other Brown records later to see if I can be of any help to you. Re the marrying of cousins, the early settlers had a small marriage pool from which to choose. Besides, scientists today, from what I saw recently, say there isn't really cause for alarm in that regard.
Re Whites, I have Whites on my paternal side, too.
