Marshall Bryant, Ora (Orie) Mae Carr Bryant

Hi, I am trying to locate information on Marshall (Lee?) Bryant, he would have been the grandfather of my husband. I received information that Marshall Bryant was the victim of a homicide in Culpeper, VA. The closest I have been able to determine is, he married Ora Mae Carr sometime after 1920, she was from Massies Mill, Nelson County, VA. They must have moved to Culpeper, VA. Marshall and Ora Mae had two sons, Mason Henry Bryant (1923) and Arthur Lee Bryant (1925). Marshall was shot and killed by someone of the name of Dodson or Dotson on or near a railroad, sometime between 1925 and 1930, I do not know if Marshall was an employee of the railroad or not. Ora Mae Carr Bryant moved back to her home and was found again on the 1930 census back in Massies Mill, Nelson County, VA. She was living near her widowed father Howard George Carr and widowed older brother Derry Carr. I have been told there was a trial and someone wrote a book about this trial, but I have been unable to locate the narrative, or the date and place of burial for Marshall Bryant. Marshall Bryant had several siblings, Reuben Lee, Joe, Betty, Minnie, Lilly Garnett. His parents were William Bryant and Mary Maylee Coffey.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I do not know if Marshall was born in Nelson County or not.

Thanks. Brenda.
