Sullivans of Culpeper Co., VA

I am looking for Sullivans from Culpeper Co., VA. My great-great-grandfather, Beverly Sullivan, was born in VA about 1798. He moved with his family to Mason Co., KY as a young boy.

The 1800 tax records for Mason Co., KY show a John Sullivan and a William Sullivan. In the 1810 census for Mason Co. I find John Sullavain, Sr., John Sullavain, William Sullavain and Lewis Sullavain.

Some sources say that Beverly's parents were William Sullivan b. 1775 in Ireland and Ann Jones. They were married about 1790 in Fauquier Co., VA. No one offers any proof of this line.

I've researched in Mason Co., KY with little success. A marriage record for Beverly Sullivan and Elizabeth Thornton (may be Thorne) in 1825 and several census records for this family. No deaths, burials or land records that six of us could find.

If anyone knows of this Sullivan line, I'd appreciate hearing from you. I've hit a brick wall.
