The closest Ebenezer Cemetery to Round Hill is Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery in Loudoun County. Since Mary (nee Furr) and William Marcus were born, married, and lived in Loudoun, it seems unlikely she would have been buried in another county in the dead of winter.

When Mary died there were still young children in the household. It quite possible that William could not afford a formal tombstone for her. It was not unusual to have burials without tombstones. It is also possible that any marker on the grave is no longer there. The tombstone may have fallen over at some point, ended up being grown over or moved to an unseen location.
