Clarke Cemetery Book Vol. 2

Don Royston is working on a new cemetery book, that takes in some of the church cemeteries in the county, black cemeteries, and some family cemeteries. In the 1930s Ben Crampton transcribed a large group of family & church cemeteries whose transcriptions will also be in Don's book. Some of the cemeteries are no longer extant as bodies were moved to Green Hill Cemetery or the land sold and re-sold, and some of the churches are no longer extant (such as Cain's Chapel). This makes it hard to pinpoint their location as Mr. Crampton used the 1939 owner's name for location (such as Ad Withers' farm). If you know of any family cemeteries in Clarke and can give us updated placement, or have transcribed the contents, please contact me and I will connect you with Don. The more we have out there, the more we can help. Many thanks!
