The Marriage bond for James W. Alexander and Jane B. Nash is dated December 7, 1843. I got this information from the Library of Virginia from their microfilm collection on Charlotte County. Charlotte County Marriage Bond Book, 1842-1848, Reel 56, image 19. This is strange because I thought these records were scanned images of the actual records so I don't understand the discrepancy.

The marriage is also listed in the Marriage Register. I quickly tried to run through the stack of images to see if I could put hands on it right away but was unable to. Unfortunately, stupid me forgot to write down citation on my database. I know I have a copy of it and will keep looking for it. I can email a scan of it to you. The citation should be on the back of that scanned copy as I always write the citation information on the back as soon as it emerges from the scanner unfortunately it didn't make it from there to my database. In the marriage register, James W. Alexander is listed as J. W. Alexander.

I have the copy of the Heritage book here at the house. The author of the Pugh family history is Frances P. Fitch, that is my mother but I was the actual writer of the information. Lavelett (Lavelette) Alexander was the daughter of James W. Alexander and Jane Nash (North?).

I have not had an opportunity to go to the Clerks office and look at the records in Charlotte. I will need to write and get a copy of that record or set aside time to travel there and look. Thanks for looking into this. I really appreciate it.
