William Porter of Virginia (abt. 1815-1838)
Posted by: Charles Blunt (ID *****0684) Date: October 05, 2005 at 15:12:23

“On the motion of John P. Keesee, he is appointed guardian of Louisa A. Porter, orphan of William Porter, deceased, on giving bond and security.” (Jan. 4, 1841; Charlotte County VA Order Book 31). William Porter was likely born about 1815 and died about 1838. Louisa Ann Porter married Benjamin Holmes (Homes) in Charlotte County VA on Jan. 5, 1841 and lived in Henrico County. One of the children of this union was Virginia Frances Homes (1842-1898) who married Thomas Garland Blunt. My great grandfather, Charles PORTER Blunt, was one of their children.
I AM AT A DEAD END WITH THE PORTERS. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHO WAS THE WIFE OF WILLIAM PORTER AND WHO MIGHT HAVE BEEN THE PARENTS OF WILLIAM?
