Thank you so much for your help. I came across a house for sale in Charlotte and the ad said the house was comissioned by John Daniel circa 1830. He is buried near the home and a picture of his headstone was included. I am trying to fit him into my Daniel line--that of Roger Daniel to his son John, to John, down to Mary Daniel. The Woodson name is a great clue, as there was Daniel /Woodson marriage in this family about 1725.
Thamks again!
Terri
