What a kind offer! I need help in finding the parents of George Washington Barksdale(1823-1899) born and died in Charlotte County. Only information I have is his mother's first name was Elizabeth (1800-died after 1860)believed to be born in Halifax County. Elizabeth married this unknown Barksdale around 1817. His paternal grandparents were Thomas and Sally or Sarah Barksdale. Thomas died in 1831. George, his mother and siblings (John Lewis and Martha) lived with the grandparents in Charlotte County. The unknown father died between 1828-1830 and probably in Charlotte County. Any help would be most appreciated. Mary
