Thanks, Rex for the information. I have copies of the personal tax lists from 1787-1810, but I didn't know how much land Thomas owned. I had seen in the Court Orders (1758-1762) that he bought land from Richard Christian in 1860. I also knew that he had sold 40 acres on Queen's Creek to Abraham Thomas prior to his death ca 1804-05. My 3rd great grandmother, Elizabeth Matthews Maynard, sold her inheritance, 35+ acres to Abraham Thomas in 1818. Thomas then sold the 75+ acres to Robert W. Christian on 15 May 1818. There was a Thomas Matthews, Jr who began paying taxes in 1790 thru 1793. I'm wondering if Thomas lived in the Westover Precinct?
