Ria,

Thanks for your note. We are staffed with volunteers at the Charles City County Center for Local History. We were the sponsors for most of the website and I helped in building most of our searhable databases.

We are happy to do small look-ups for people about Charles City people and places and are happy to help with research for anyone who wants to visit. We are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday (except holidays).

Sounds like you are an expert on James City where I have so many dead ends with my Fenton family on Yarmouth Creek. I would love to actually locate where they bought in 1787-8. My gr. grandfather bought Piggot's Mill which then became Fenton's mill.

Tom Fenton
Charles City and Richmond.
