In 1771, Martin Martin of Westover Parish, Charles City County, bought CCCo (Charles City County) land from Robert and Frances Coley. That same year, Daniel Martin of New Kent Co. bought CCCO land from Isham and Hannah Coley. The properties adjoined. This info is per a deed book at the LVA in Richmond. Does anybody know anything about any of these people (the Martins in particular), the land and/or the parish? Any suggestions as to where/how to begin any CCCo research would be most appreciated.
