The Royster surname in CCC was apparantly a Quaker name.

I found several people with that name in my book on CCC.

Royster, Ann....1853 - vs Robert W. Christian's administrator - Chancery Court record of Robert W. Christian died 1846.

Royster, John......owned land in Charles City Co.

In 1704 Quit Rent rolls for Essex Co there is the following notation:
Royston, John......(died in Spotsylvania Co 1748?) (he owned 1000 acres in Essex Co, this name is spelled as Royster on this page)

Royston, John.....Glouscester Quit Rent rolls for 1704, owned 570 acres.

Wish I had more.
