I am seeking information on the Carroll County Va. poor home for the period 1895 to 1915. My wife's great-grandfather, Samuel W. Spencer, died about 1898 and his widow, Louanna Jacquey Spencer and several minor children lived at the home for a period of years. Louanna's name is given as Lavinia in the 1900 census, with children Nunel (?), John B and James or Jessie. In 1910 she is listed as Lou Spencer with none of these children. I am attempting to find death date for Samuel and sort out these sons. I welcome any help and contact with Samuel and Louanna descendants. Rick
