My notes show that Bryson Edwards b. abt. 1805 d. 1891 and Nancy A. (Massie) b. abt. 1814 d. 1854 was married bef.1835. Also in my notes:
Virginia Tate, in 2003, told me(Melvin Felts)that her grandmother "Sis" Amanda Edwards Tate talked about her own grandmother, Nancy Edwards, wife of Bryson Edwards. Sis told Virginia that she called her grandmother "Massie", and that she was an Indian, possibly from the Delaware tribe. She said that she wore a feather in her hair, and Indian style leggings, and that her appearance was frightening to her as a child.
Massie is the sirname for the Delaware Tribe, from the Cherokee Indian Nations.
I have a second marriage of Bryson to Anna (unk), two children Christopher b. Dec 6, 1876 and Luzetta b. 1881.
There is another Bryson C. Edwards b. 1851 who is the son of Francis and Anna Horton Edwards. I hope this helps. Melvin Felts
