Dear Ron: I acquired a copy of the marriage cert. for "Frances Elizabeth Henley" June, 1845 Carroll Co. VA and she lists her father as "Henry Henly" - not James B. and Elizabeth! - my ancestors I have been tracing in Franklin Co. and Carroll Co. VA!

Is there any record of "Henry Henly/Henley" in Carroll Co. VA? I recently located a record on a "Barbary Henley" married 1790s in Franklin Co. VA I hoping to find more about also.

Also a "Jonathan Hanley" was a Justice of the Peace Janury Court 1777 in Henry Co. VA - and a record of 50 acres in 1798 in Patrick Co. VA. First clues on possible other Hanly/Hanley/Henley's that might belong to the family of James B. Henley m. Elizabeth Dodd in Franklin Co. VA in 1804! Please let me know what you think about the "Henry Henley" in Carroll Co. VA Thanks for all your assistance. Sincerely, Rose Mary S. Rudy
