Ms Rudy,

Elizabeth died sometime between 1860 and 1870 and the county does not have a record of her death. Actually the death records in Carroll are pretty sketchy during the war years, so it is most probable that she died between 1860 and 1865. (The records become slightly more reliable in 1866.)

The newspapers of that period didn't do much in the way of obituaries, so your best bet is to find a church record or a mention of her death in someone's journal, of which there are several still around. I'll keep my eyes open for a mention of it and will let you know if I find anything.
