You are most welcome to the information; I'm glad it was of some value to you.

There is no indication in the 1860 Census that the family was Mulatto, so I assume they were not.

I am not related to the family, I just document all the families who ever lived in Carroll County. I am associated with the Historical Society here.

The family supported themselves in the lead mines and I have found most of those families to be rather transient in nature. I have never traced Annie's movements after her husband died, but I would bet she went to Wythe County.
