I have a Francis Marion Davis, b. 19 April 1853,d.30 July 1923 in Carroll Co.,Va. He married an Alverta Horton. I am interested in finding about his parents. I have his mother listed as a Nancy Ann Davis, born about 1825. Could she be the daughter of William Davis and Elizabeth Huff??? or is Davis her married name and if so what was her maiden name???
I do know she had at least one more older son by the name of David and he is buried in the Civil War Cemetery in Richmond. David was married to a woman named Julie and they had a daughter and a son that are known of. Wife and these children died from diptheria.Any clues or ideas to this would be greatly appreciated.
