Pam, I am also searching for information on a Vaughan family of Grayson/Carroll Co.VA, specifically Archaleus Vaughan (ca 1769-April 1866). Archaleus married Frances Foley (ca 1775- aft 1860) on Jan 7 1795 in Grayson Co., VA. His father was William Vaughan Sr and Mary (?). William was born in Hanover Co., VA and died in Grayson Co., VA. Another son of William Sr., William Vaughan II lived on Knob Fork, Grayson Co., VA. Any connections to your line? Thanks, Teri Foley-Nelson
