Looking for info and/or descendants Sally Coghill Brooke, esp. those of Mary E. K. Brooke, born abt 1840 in prob. Essex County, VA. She was the dau. of Humphrey Booth Brooke, Jr. (b. 1800 Essex Co; d abt 1879 in Caroline County) and Sally Coghill (b 1818, d. 1853 in Caroline Co. Va). Don't know anything about the later life of Mary Brooke.
Both Sally and Humphrey widowed prior spouses. Don't know who Sally's first husband was, but she was listed as widowed at her marriage to Humphrey. Coghill was apparently her maiden name, because according to the book "The Family of Coghill", her father was Thomas Coghill and her mother a Pitts.
Sally was Humphrey's second wife. His first wife was Elizabeth M. Ferris, who died 12 Mar 1837.
