Caroline and Hanover Co find - over 1000 documents saac Butler plantation

Requested from interlibrary loan the Isaac Butler papers, Duke Univ. part of "REcords of Ante-Bellum Southern Plantations fromthe Revolution through the Civil War."

MANY Caroline names. I have examined over 1000 pages already--have the loan until the end of April. Will as time allows post names found in accounts, etc. Feel free to ask for more detail.

1. Feb. 9, 1818
Jemima (or Jemma) BRAME, executrix for Walter BRAME, decd, sold to ISAAC BUTLER a negroe man named BOB for $350

2. May 3, 1823
Siblings and heirs of EDWARD G. BUTLER (he died before 1810 when his father JOHN BUTLER died). Division occured May 1823, so if siblings were dead by then, share to their heirs

4. Agreement in 1825 (can't read) between Mary Butler and James Eubank. Mary "to let James Eubank and family live with her the ensuing year, to cultivate the land, have the management of her stock. but to return the same amount of stock and pork as is now on the plantation at the end of the next year accident excepted. And the same James Eubank on his part agrees to treat Mary Butler in a kind and peaceable manner, as a son would his own mother, maintain her plentifuylly, give her fifteen dollars plenty of cotton for her own use for the year," etc.
[my note: Mary Butler, widow of John Butler, was mother of Lucy Butler, wife of James Eubank--see Item 2 above which suggests that Lucy was dead by now.]
