The book "The Bibb Family in America, 1640-1940," has a chapter on Bibbs of Caroline County, VA. It contains the following on David Garland Bibb (1823-1891). Son of Fleming Bibb. Born in Caroline County, VA married Sussanna Storrs hackett August 17th, 1849. August 17th, 1876 this David Bibb makes deed to a tract of land, and is mentioned as a widower. Children: George Garrett (1850-1924) married no children; Fleming Thomas (1852-1914) married no children; Sophia Hackett (1854-1938) never married; Mary Frances 1856, married John Vivian Wright, Richmond, VA; David Linden (1858-1931) married, no children. Note say Mary Frances Bibb Wright, the only living member of Caroline County Bibb group, lives in Richmond, VA with her children (date of this book 1941). This book suggests the Caroline branch of Bibbs is related to Louisa County branch, and descends from Charles Bibb who married Elizabeth, d/o Charles Woolfolk.

Three Bibb obits are listed in the Caroline Progress, a weekly newspaper: 1. Bibb, Anna Norman Moncure, Mrs. (Linden D.), daugter of St. Leger Landon and Lucy Oliver Moncure, died at "Ellerslie," near Ruther Glen, May 1, 1934; 2. Bibb, Harry C., died May 8, 1959; 3. Bibb, Mrs. Maggie Smith (Fleming T.), 74, daughter of the Honorable Fontaineie Smith, died at "Poplar Level Farm" November 28, 1925.

Bibb marriage bonds in Caroline: Fleming and Fanny G. Hargrave, 21 Jan 1809. Lucy Hargrave mother and guardian. Sec. and wit: Robert Terrell and Samuel Terrell. Married 2 Feb 1809 by Andrew Broaddus; Garrett and Mary Cobbs, 2 Dec 1808. Married by Andrew Broaddus; Thomas and Elizabeth Hodges, 4 Oct 1803. Sec. and Wit: Francis Hodges.

There is a will for a Jacob Burrus of Caroline County, Virginia (Saint "Margaritts" Parish), dated 20 Mar 1742, which names a Robert Fleming Bibb as executor.
