Further searching has your William Freeman as being in the Revolution and was at one time with Nathaniel Greene and at one time a scout for George Washington. William married first Prisilla Hunt and had at least two children;Micajah b.1779,and Penelope. William later married Mary Bryan and had Reddick,Rachael,John,Lawrence,Lemuel,Elizabeth,James,Nancy, and Frances. Most,if not all,of these moved to Greene Co,MO. After William's death,Micajah went to Missouri in 1843 to bring suit to settle his father's estate in his and his late sisters on behalf for her children (listed as Cannon in the court records).Micajah had married Elsa Fincannon and Penelope had married Paulser Fincannon.Elsa's father was John P. Von Kannon. The name Fincannon may have been Fin Cannon which would have resulted in the children of Penelope being listed as "Cannon" instead of "FinCannon."
