If they still exist, the St. Mary's Parish records have not been located.

The record you cite is from the Caroline County Court Order Book 1757-1763, page 3, with the date you indicated.

This Elizabeth Massey's child or children were taken from her and sent to live with a family that would - or should have - taught them a life skill. Often this was just another form of early American slavery as the child just did physical labor.

This Elizabeth Massey may be the same person as: Elizabeth Massey a servant woman of Nathan Chapman having a bastard child declared that William Cockran is the father of the child. It's ordered that said servant serve according to law. [Caroline County Court Order Book 1746-1754, page 80, dated 8 April 1748]
