Good Morning: Can anyone tell me just what the connection was between the Bland Family and the Bell and Broaddus Family. In a guardian bond issued on Josiah Bland in 1815 in Caroline Co., VA, Thomas Bell and Mordecai Broaddus was granted guardianship. Josiah Bland married Nancey Ann Bell in Fredericksburg, VA in February 1821. On a document in the late 1800s certifying that Corporal Thomas Bland and Martha Bowler were of good character and were residents of Caroline Co. VA were the signatures of William W. Broadduas and Cornelius C. Broaddus. Also the first son of Josiah Bland was named Cornelius Jackson Bland.
Anything that you can relate to me about any of the above families will be greatly appreciated.
