I show Thomas Madison in my copy of Musselman's 47th VA Infantry.
"45 year old ditcher in Caroline Co. Enl. 2/8/62 in Co K. Chimborazo Hospital for typhoid in March 1862. Present May/June 1862. Absent sick thru 12/31/62. No further record."

Co K. is the same unit as my gggrandfather and his family. There are also 3 Satterwhites in Co. K also. (James, John & William) Let me know if you need that info too.

Didn't know if you already had this info or not. Hope this helps. Good luck, Karen.
