Would appreciate help in tracking down some possible Tyler ancestors and cousin/in-laws, in Virginia: one, a James Tyler, b. early 1800s in Montgomery, Caroline or Wythe, but m. a Catherine Barron of Wythe County and settled in Lee County; he was said to be related to Gov. James Hoge Tyler and somehow connected to the presidential Tyler line through John Tyler, Sr. May have had a brother named George or William. Possibly had Graham cousins by marriage. Need more info re birth, parents, siblings.

Would also like to know who Civil War Lt. Colonel George Tyler was; he apparently headed a unit of men who were from or operated in the Cumberland Gap area.

Many thanks,
Martha Tyler Graham
