My grandfather was John Edward Wood b. Feb. 23, 1860 m. Virginia Ellen Goodwin

His father was William Rosswell Wood b. February 16, 1835 m. Mary Ann Brint b. February 27, 1835 they are buried in the Cem. behind the church.

I have tried to find out what happened to my grandfathers brothers and sisters. William and his wife lived near Evington or Lynchburg with their daughter Mary Elizabeth Wood Preble and Eugene Preble in their old age. William Rosswell Wood had a manganese mine or processed manganese in Evington. I have a photo of it being up on a hill and several letters to his children describing the business.

Please if you have any information I would love to have it and am willing to share anything I have. I can go back only to Williams father John. William (born in Pennsylvania) his wife Mary Ann and Williams father were from Somersetshire England.

Mary Cooper Salem, Va.
