Do you have any information on the following:
My grandfather was William (M.or H.?) Moorman. Married to Millie Saunders. He was a local Pastor in several local churches in the Virgina/Baltimore area. Most of their history takes place during the late 1800's and early 1900's. There were 9 children between them (all of , I believe Lynchburg, VA) Some of the names are: Floyd, Dr Charles Moorman, Julia, Eva, Archie, Herschel, Ann. I am not sure of the others yet.
It seems that alot of the family moved to the PA, MD areas while some of them and their offspring stayed in the VA area. Most of my relatives, that I have found out to date, have been from the Lynchburg, Va area. They are believed to be former slaves in the area who inherited the surname Moorman. I was told that my father, Floyd K.M. Moorman (deceased), might have made a connection between the slaves of Samuel Clemens and the migration of the family to the Virginia.
Thanks!
