The Campbell County Historical Society will meet Sunday October 26, 2003, at 3:30 PM at the Historic Courthouse in Rustburg. Our guest speaker will be Dr. Jon Kukla, Executive Vice-president and director of Red Hill - The Patrick Henry National Memorial. He will present a program entitled, "The Louisiana Purchase: Then and Now." Dr. Kukla has written extensively about American History and culture for the major historical journals and in several books. His most recent book is titled, "A Wilderness so Immense: The Louisiana Purchase and the Destiny of America."
There will also be an update on recent changes and activities of the Courthouse Museum.
