Hi Darlena-
First, thanks for answering my post.
I agree with you completely about more research being needed here. I will try to explain to you as simply as possible my interest in Rhoda Moore and Paul Wood. It starts in Bedford Co Va, not in Campbell Co I believe the county line changed at some point My main concern is the Wood line there. My greats Francis Wood and Judith Anglin Wood left me some very good clues who they were related to by the middle names of their children. A daughter was named Lucy Moore Wood. She was born April 5 1794. In this Wood family there are 3 Paul Woods, an uncle and two cousins to Lucy. I am just trying to find out which Paul married Rhoda Moore. I know he is mine and one cousin is accounted for now in the right place. That leaves me with two Pauls unaccounted for. After scanning over the Campbell marriage bonds I was very surprised to see that many grooms posted security for marriage. The rule of thumb I have seen followed was brother, uncle or grandfather put up the bond.
So when I asked the question about Matthew I was assuming he was either a brother, uncle or grandfather.
There is a publication or book called the Campbell Co Chronicles I was emailed about it today. Are you familiar with it? Do you have any Rosser's in your line?
Well I am sorry I don't have much to add about your Moore line. I will continue to dig around. Could you please tell me some of the other surnames in Va in that time frame you are working on. I might be able to make a connection with those.
Thanks for your time and consideration.
Rebekka Stanley Cadek
