Mary Mattox died in Campbell County in August of 1849. She was married to John Mattox from Pittsylvania County who died in 1815. Believe her parents were: Jean/Jane Adams and Thomas Brown (Quakers). Children listed in her will were Samuel B. Mattox, John B. Mattox, Polly Crawley, George H. Mattox and Coley V. Dalton. She had Nancy Roach and Elizabeth Chattin that were not named.
Think Mary's birthdate was 7/8/1781 and was born in Orange Co NC. (Quakers)
Cannot find a marriage confirmation for Mary and John. Probably married in NC. Any help on this family would be appreciated.
