Hi Louise,
Yes I would be interested to see that Glover bible listing. Thanks! I have this from my old research records that I found in somebody's family tree so I don't know if info is valid or not but you might find it useful. I don't really know that much about the later Glovers after the mid-1740s. Though I didn't see the name Edmund in these records, it seems that the Glovers married into the Benning family.


From a Glover Tree:
Samuel Glover IV was born on 2 Jun 1759 at Buckingham, Buckingham, VA. He married Mary Tyndall circa 1788. He died on 7 Jun 1820 at age 61. He was buried circa 10 Jun 1820 at Samuel Glover Cemetery, Buckingham Co., VA.

Children of Samuel Glover IV and Mary Tyndall were as follows:
+ 2 i. Samuel Glover V, born circa 1789 at VA; married Elizabeth Allen Hocker.
3 ii. Judith Glover; born circa 1792 at probably, Buckingham, VA.
4 iii. Nancy Glover; born circa 1794 at probably, Buckingham, VA.
+ 5 iv. Susan Tindall Glover, born 24 Apr 1796 at Buckingham*, VA; married John Anthony "Jack" Glover.
6 v. Mary Glover; born circa 1798 at probably, Buckingham, VA.
7 vi. Adocia Glover; born circa 1800 at probably, Buckingham, VA.
8 vii. Matilda Glover; born circa 1802 at probably, Buckingham, VA.
9 viii. Betsy Glover; born circa 1804 at probably, Buckingham, VA.

Generation Two

2. Samuel2 Glover V (Samuel1) was born circa 1789 at VA. He married Elizabeth Allen Hocker in 1830. He died at VA.

10 i. Ella3 Glover; born circa 1823 at probably, VA.
11 ii. Mary Ann Glover; born circa 1825 at probably, VA.
12 iii. Angelina Benning Robertson Glover; born circa 1827 at probably, VA.
13 iv. Elizabeth Frances Glover; born circa 1829 at probably, VA.
14 v. Samuel Adam Glover; born circa 1831 at probably, VA.
15 vi. Robert Shaw Glover; born circa 1833 at probably, VA.
16 vii. William Hocker Glover; born circa 1835 at probably, VA.
17 viii. Joseph Henry Glover; born circa 1837 at probably, VA.
18 ix. Benning Daniel Glover; born circa 1839 at probably, VA.
19 x. Charles Lindorf Glover; born 18 Dec 1841 at probably, Buckingham, VA; married Ann Elizabeth Christian, daughter of (--?--) Christian and Cary Ann Lewis, circa 1870; died 28 Feb 1922 at Charleston, WV, at age 80; buried 7 Mar 1922 at "Bond Hundred", Buckingham, Christian Cem, Hwy 648.
He served in Co.H, 2nd VA Cav. CSA.
5. Susan Tindall2 Glover (Samuel1) was born on 24 Apr 1796 at Buckingham*, VA. She married John Anthony "Jack" Glover, son of Anthony Glover II and Anna Tyndall, circa 1822. She died in Jan 1872 at age 75. She was buried at Glover Cem., Buckingham, VA, Hwy 742.
Children of Susan Tindall2 Glover and John Anthony "Jack" Glover were as follows:
20 i. John Anthony3 Glover Jr; born 4 Feb 1831 at probably, Buckingham, VA; died 1 Apr 1841 at age 10; buried at Glover Cem, Buckingham, VA, Hwy 742.
21 ii. Mary Blair Glover; born circa 1832 at Buckingham*, VA; married Dr. (--?--) Thurman circa 1855.
She moved to Atlanta and died with no issue.
22 iii. Samuel Anthony Glover; born 11 Dec 1823 at Buckingham*, VA; married Frances Eldridge, daughter of Rolfe Eldridge Jr. and Mary Moseley, May 1857 at probably, Buckingham Co., VA; , died 21 Feb 1882 at age 58; buried at Glover Cem, Buckingham, VA, Hwy 742.
He Sons and daughters buried in Hollywood Cem. at Richmond, VA.
23 iv. Joseph Benning Glover; born 10 Feb 1826 at Buckingham*, VA; married (--?--) Cobb; died 23 Feb 1907 at age 81; buried at Glover Cem, Buckingham, VA, Hwy 742.
He Lived in Roanoke, VA and died leaving a large family. Sons and daughters buried in Evergreen Cem. at Roanoke, VA.
