Old albemarle: Nelson, Amherst, Buckingham, Fluvanna until 1761. I n addition if you lived 5 miles from the county seat you could live in any 5 of them. And the county seat was Scottsville not Charlottesville.

Trying to identify current county for some waterways in early surveys, patents, road orders, of Woods/Wood

Goochland is also a possibility since Albemarle created from Goochland.

Hatcher's Creek.
Henry's Creek

Buck Island Creek. on south side of Rivanna River.

If you have a WOOD/WOODS family that matches these locations please reply.
