Dr. Wicker...
Nice to hear from you!
I have been studying your post, and find it very interesting, as you know I have your wonderful book, The Allen Family...
Ok, you say Mary's second son is named Drury M. Allen, of
course I would consider the middle initial to be for Mimms...The first son was Wm. M. for his grandfather you say
and once again I would think the initial M. to mean Mimms.
You also say the first son Wm.M.Allen was named for his it must be Mary's father because Samuel Allen's parents were Samuel and Martha Archer ALLEN...I have forgotten how the old nameing patterns go...Are you saying his grandfather was William Mimms or are you saying
because of his middle name, M. which must be Mimms, it is Mary's father because of the Mimms name? Your thoughts would be most appreciated.
Thank You very much...
