Hi Phyllis,

My grandmother was Elizabeth Matney that married James Burks. Her father was John Morgan Matney and I know that my grandparents were married "at the gap at Guesses Fork" (exactly what it says on their marriage license : ) I don't remember the exact year they were married - early 1900's, I believe? Anyway, I have never been able to get any information further back than great grandfather John "Morgan" Matney. It sure sounds like Morgan and Joseph could be related. Are you familiar with that name at all? I would dearly LOVE to have the names of his parents and so on. We could be cousins, after all : ) Thanks in advance.
