I'm trying to locate some of my distant family in the Grundy, VA area.
Elzi McClanahan, jr.
Clinton Lee Endocot
These two are my 2nd cousins; we have never met. There father, Elzia, Sr. was, of course, my 1st cousin.
Elzia, Sr., I found out had passed away in the Laurens, SC area back in 2003, and I found the above 2 2nd cousins names in their father's obituary listing.
Elzia Sr.'s mother, Maggie Williams of McCarr, Pike County, KY was my Aunt and their Grandmother.
I have tried in vain to get ahold of ANY type of long distance operator in the Grundy area to try and look them up. No such luck.
Any help would be appreciated; perhaps, if you are local call to Grundy, you could look them up, and then just give them my information so they can contact me, or look up and send me an email with thier phone number so that I can call them.

Elzia McClanahan, Sr.
Laurens, South Carolina
Elzia McClanahan, 77, of Laurens Memorial Home, died Monday, Sept. 22, 2003, at Laurens County Hospital.
Born in McCarr, Ky., he was a son of the late Hobert William and Maggie Williams McClanahan. He was a retired coal miner and was a member of Gray Court Church of God.
He is survived by two sons, Clinton Lee Endocot and Elzia McClanahan Jr., both of Virginia.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today, Sept. 24, 2003, at Forest Lawn Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Danny Wilson.
The family will be at the home of Jack Hurley, 2409 Ekom Beach Road. -- Kennedy Mortuary, Laurens.
