DON'T KNOW IF THIS WILL HELP BUT MY GRANDFATHER, ALVIS MC CLANAHAN BORN IN1887 (NOT SURE WHERE BORN BUT HE ALSO LIVED IN POPLAR CREEK HE MAY HAVE BEEN FROM THERE, NOT SURE. HE HAS A RELATIVE , WE THINK MAYBE A COUSIN BY THE NAME OF GREELY MC CLANAHAN.ALVIS HAD A BROTHER, REESE WHO WAS DEPUTY SHERRIFF OF GRUNDY. MAYBE SOMEONE MIGHT REMEMBER SOME OF THESE TIES & CAN STEER YOU IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. I, TOO, AM SEARCHING FOR MC CLANAHANS, (ALVIS) HOPE THIS HELPS & GOOD LUCK!!!MY UNCLE VISITED SOME OF GREELYS CHILDREN OR GRANDCHILDREN BUT HE IS NOT SURE HOW GREELY & ALVIS ARE RELATED BUT THAT THEY ARE.
