Chris,
There were two fires in the Buchanan Co., VA courthouse, 1864 & 1884. The first was due to the Civil War , which was the case in many of the courthouse fire across Virginia. Buchanan Co. Courthouse houses all marriage licenses after 1885 and a few for 1884. Anything before may be found on microfilm at the state archives or local libraries. I do volunteer marriage lookups for Buchanan Co., VA if I can help.
