Joy in Virginia (hate to see a query not answered I looked everywhere) You should check with local funeral homes and also you can request a copy of death certificate from State of Va. Also cemetaries have records and the marriage record in the areas should be available. Good Luck! (no kin just retired and bored ha ha)
