dear ada,
thankyou for the info. but i've recently learned that the nane i need to look up here is noonchester, "noonkester" in the 1860 census. i'm looking for relatives of leander "lee" noonchester who was the son of michael and dillemmis (anderson) noonchester (noonkester) b.abt. 1860 and d. apr. 11 1913, in buchanan co. and married lilabelle (belle) adair (hale), widow of lazarus hale and daughter of noah adair. apparently belle had a child by lazarus. because my grandmother has a j.m. hale listed as an uncle and her mother was victoria noonchester , daughter of lee and belle. any info is greatly appreciated. . by the way victoria married asa hackney of russell co. in 1905. . there is supposed to be the old family homestead still standing or at least it was . it was supposed to be close to davenport or vansant.
thanks again ,

april
