ISO my PHILLIPS line/roots from WV,unk counties. G-grandfather SAMUEL PHILLIPS and unk wife. 3 known children: son Shelby or Selby(lived in D.C.); unk daughter;my grandfather WILLIAM GRIFFITH PHILLIPS,b.5 Sept 1887 in WV, unk cty/d.1960 Buffalo,NY. Wondering if this PHILLIPS line started in VA/?Buchanan Cty. SAMUEL had to be in WV in 1887 for WILLIAM to be b. Rumor may be that WILLIAM was adopted into SAMUEL PHILLIPS' family. Need lookup to search census report to check to see if these PHILLIPS lived in Buchanan Cty in 1800s and also someone to lookup possible birth record on WILLIAM. Appreciate any assistance. Scanty info on this line. Family info never passed down.
