My wife and I are the prospective buyers for the miles taylor house in brunswick county.there is a family cemetary on the property with 17 headstones. 5 of these are confederate soldiers. 4 taylors and 1 turner. We are trying to get a good history on the property and the family.particulay their involvement in the civil war.we have been told several things.one was shot upstairs and the blood stai.s are on the floor. We did find the stains but they look too recent.another story is mr.turner deflected and deserted the csa to come home and join the union.also was told the house served as a hospital.anyway,we are excited and have big plans for the property and would really love any info so we can correctly restore and preserve the house and property.thanks
