Thank you, I have not been able to find this information anywhere else. I am now quite sure I am a descendent of this John and Lucy, as Charles Robinson Webb, their son, married Katherine Stribling, and I am a 7th generation descendent of that marriage. Does this sound correct so far? I hope so.

I found a Webb family synopsis written by Dr. Robert Dickens that states that in a letter given to him by Hiram Webb, of New Bedford, MA, "he states that he had a complete lineage of the family from 1544 [i.e. when Catherine Parr mentioned Henry Webbe] to 1730; but I have been unable to get this lineage, as Mr. Hiram Webb is now dead." This would definitely link the New England (northern) Webbs with the Virginia Webbs. It goes on to say that "There are several families of Webbs who live in Mississippi and Texas who come from Virginia and North Carolina, and are no doubt of the same family." Do you have any idea where that record of the lineage might be/where to start looking?
