Frederick Briggs, d. 1789

Seeking information on Frederick Briggs (Robert, Samuel, Henry) of Brunswick Co, VAd. 1789 who wrote a letter to his wife from prison where he was accused and found guilty of horse stealing. The letter to his wife Mary (nee Goodrich, a first cousin, married (bond) 24 Feb 1772) includes reference to his children (presumably all minors in 1789)
Nancy Goodrich Briggs b. est. 1774
Howell Briggs b. est 1776
Edward Briggs b. est 1778
Clarimon Briggs b. est 1780
Dolly Briggs b. est 1782
Thomas Briggs, b. est 1784
Mary (Polly)Briggs, b. est 1786

Does anyone have more information about these Briggs children? Did they move to NC? Could these be the Briggs who moved to Old Buncombe Co, NC?

In the 1810 Census of Buncombe Co NC, there is a Thomas Briggs and an Edward Briggs. A Howell Briggs was in Burke Co. A Dolly Briggs of this family went to SC first and then moved to Yancey Co NC.

Any in formation would be greatly appreciated.
