It is extremely difficult to seperate all the different men named William and John Williams during this time in Brunswick County. Is there any definite way to do so?

My William Williams (b. 1760) and his father, John Williams, lived in the Taylors and Avents Creek area of Brunswick (south of the Meherrin). I believe they were very near the Lunenburg line and might be found in those county records as well as Brunswick.

They left Virginia in 1795, travelling first to Bourbon County, KY. In 1805 they moved to the midwest.

Is this the family you are referring to? I would like to be able to establish their ties in Virginia very much.

Thanks for any information.
