Thank you for that information. I had seen the name Ambrose Williams among those Moore deeds, but did not know about Mary being Robert's daughter. I'd LOVE to know more about them, if you have additional information.

I've known about these Moores living on the Brunswick Lunenburg border but have never found anything which would tie any of them together except that they're all neighbors. Robert Moore also sold tracts to a William, Valentine, James and John Moore around 1760. I suspect that some of these ended up in Orange Co, NC a decade or so later, and I suspect that my mystery ancestor, Sterling Moore, is related in some way to this group, as he shows up in Orange Co, NC also.

But putting them together has proved impossible. These people sure don't seem to have bothered much with wills or marriage bonds.

Do you have any information of where Robert might have come from or who his family members might have been.

Any clues or information would be greatly appreciated since I'm pretty much stumped.
